As we reach the midpoint of 2024, Farmland Aviation is proud to share the strides we've made in expanding our capabilities and services. This year has been marked by significant milestones and developments that underscore our commitment to excellence and growth.

Aerial Firefighting

Our commitment to aerial firefighting has never been stronger. We're proud to announce that in March 2024, we received a brand new AT-802 from the Air Tractor factory in Texas. Fully equipped with the most advanced firefighting technology available, including the FRDS Gen-3 fire gate, this aircraft will massively enhance our ability to combat wildfires and protect ecosystems. The AT-802’s advanced technology and superior payload capacity will significantly boost our firefighting efforts, ensuring we are better prepared for the fire season and capable of responding swiftly and effectively to fire emergencies across the region.

Expanding Maintenance Capabilities

Our maintenance facility has seen solid growth this year, both in certifications and capacity. Our team is constantly up-skilling to provide our clients with the best services. This expansion means we can now offer maintenance services to more clients, ensuring that their helicopters and planes are in top-notch condition, ready for any mission. Busy Season for Crop Spraying

Farmland Aviation has been actively engaged in crop spraying, a critical service for our agricultural clients. This season, we've been busy treating fields of wheat, canola, barley, potatoes, and peas. Our efforts help ensure healthy crops and robust yields, which is vital given the fluctuating market prices. As of July 2024, wheat prices in Kenya range between $1.05 and $1.34 per kilogram, reflecting a stable but competitive market. We're extremely proud to service our clients and ensure their produce fetches top dollar.

As we set our sights on these new endeavours, Farmland Aviation remains steadfast in its mission to deliver exceptional service. Our new website is just the start—as we tender for international contracts and bolster our firefighting division, we are more equipped than ever to face the challenges and opportunities of the new year. With an unwavering commitment to sustainable practices, technological innovation, and expanding our service horizons, we are excited to share our journey with you.
